Application of gravity: training astronauts in space

Training astronauts for missions in space
Before a person is sent into space he has to go through a series of training exercises that will make them find out if the person is fit enough to withstand the conditions of travelling to space. It is also used in preparing the person for some of the conditions in space. For example if a person were to be preparing for a trip to mercury or Venus they would need to undergo a series of training exercises that would help prepare them for the conditions there.
Here on earth the surface gravity is 1.00 mean while in  mercury it is 0.375  so if a person were to go to mercury there would be a considerable difference in the gravitational pull so in order to be ready or get used to the conditions in mercury the person would have to go through some preparatory exercises.
